Yippee!

The last week has been really good! I'd been struggling a bit with feeling down for no reason (kind of depression... kind of), but last Saturday I went into the prayer meeting before Youth, and I was really praying to God for incomparable joy, strength and peace. Wow! That night was fantastic! On the Monday (back at work), I was grinning from ear to ear all day! It was so amazing. God really lifted my spirits in a major way. Even now, I'm really at peace, and I don't get angry or upset as much as I used to. Yay! My fiance sure likes that part of it! :o)

But anyway, work has been good. The internet connection has been down, on and off for the past 3 or 4 weeks. It is very annoying, but helps me focus more on work. It just doesn't help when I have to do things that require email, etc. But that's OK.

Here's a cool word - hypnagogic \hip-nuh-GOJ-ik; -GOH-jik\, adjective: Of,  pertaining  to,  or  occurring in the state of drowsiness preceding sleep.

Speaking of transgender... (hee hee, I said that last night to my fiance and flatmate, their reaction was so funny!) What is up with Oprah doing the show on transgender kids? Let me just say, that is crazy. There was an 11 year old girl saying that she's a boy stuck in a girl's body. Her parents let her dress and look like a boy, and said that she can get "the operation" when she's 18! No no no, God doesn't make mistakes!!! AND, there was a 5 year old boy (That's right, 5) who says that he wants to be a girl... and everyone is taking him seriously. He's 5, for goodness sake! You don't know what you want at 5 years old! Crosswalk is doing a two-part series on transgender soon, it will be very interesting to read. Here is their article about the Oprah episode.

Eeeeek. I've just been asked to do a devotion for home group tonight. I so don't want to! But oh well, better get cracking. And I have a really bad case of the hiccups! They only come every 10 seconds or so, but man my chest hurts! Ouchie.

Alright, I'm back. I'm doing my devotion on 1 Samuel 14:1-23 (Jonathan defeating the Philistines). The basic point is that when we're on the verge of doing something great for God, we shouldn't hold back and wait for other people to join us. We should take a leap of faith, trusting that God will give us the victory. Amen. :o)

I've taken to drinking black tea (i.e. no milk) when my throat is sore. Considering how much I LOVE milk, that is quite an achievement. And the fact that I actually like it... that's very disturbing.

I'm going to put a blogroll on my blog. Yessiree, it's about time the lovely blogs I read get some recognition! Yay!!!

My fiance and I are going to look for a unit on the weekend! It will be so fun! I'm going to move in, and then he will move in after we're married. I'm very excited! Did you know, it's only 3 months and 2 days until we get married?!?!
